The Japanese Park is a very famous and recently developed park in Saddi Dilli. As we already know Saddi Dilli has once served as the capital of the Mughal Empire as well. The Mughals were very well known for their aesthetic sense and eye for beauty and were very fond of landscaped gardens which is why all their monuments and palaces are all adorned with fountains, flower beds, and gardens.
In the post-Mughal era, Dilli functioned as the capital of the British and after independence as the country capital thereby undergoing lot of designing and decoration which accounts for the large number of parks and gardens. The Japanese Park in in Sector 11 of Rohini in the North-West Dilli and is a beautifully landscaped garden which is a favorite haunt for the morning walkers in the mornings, kids during the daytime and young lovers during evenings. 😉
The Japanese Park is developed and maintained by the DDA (Delhi Development Authority). It also houses an artificial lake, natural woods, a boating facility and nature walks. The Japanese Park has come up as a one of the biggest and best parks in Dilli in the recent times.
Some important tourist destinations around the Japanese Park are the M2K Rohini Multiplex, Shakti Sthal, Shanti Vana, Vijay Ghat towards the North and the Dolls Museum towards the Central Dilli.
Saddi Dilli is the greenest country capital in the world and has a large number of parks and gardens and the Japanese Park is just one of them. Some of the other important parks and gardens in Dilli are the Deer Park in Hauz Khas, Lodi Gardens in Central Dilli, the famous Mughal Gardens in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the lover’s paradise Buddha Jayanti Park, the beautiful National Rose Garden, the sporty Talkatora Park and the festive Garden of Five Senses.
