Sarojini Nagar Market popularly known as SN Market is a neighborhood in South West Dilli district of Saddi Dilli. Named after the famous woman freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu, this colony is encircled by Safdarjung Enclave, South Extension, Laxmibai Nagar, Nauroji Nagar, Chanakyapuri and Netaji Nagar. It is in the vicinity of Chanakyapuri, one of the most beautiful localities in Dilli, also the home of various embassies and consulates, including those of the United States and Russia.
Sarojini Nagar Market is one of the most favored places in the city to buy clothes and fabrics at unbeatable prices. Apart from a large number of large sized showrooms for various international and local brands, the crux of the market is formed by street side shops which sell garments of all sizes, designs and colors. Most of these garments are priced on the lower side because they are either export-surplus garments or are rejected export clothing. That is why product of even reputed brands available here at throwaway prices.
But expecting a trial or changing room at the street-side shops is futile. People are advised to make the best use of their skills of haggling. There are different areas within the market for example the babu market houses several sweet shops, the shoe shops close to the market also catches the eye, the subzi mandi offers the freshest and choicest fruits and fresh veggies.
